Estyn Annual Report 2010-2011

8 Feb 2012

Estyn’s Annual Report provides an overview of standards and performance of schools, and other education and training providers in Wales. This is the first Annual Report since the introduction of the new inspection framework, which has seen a greater emphasis on how well schools and providers are delivering skills-based learning and self-evaluation.

As part of the new inspection arrangements, the views of learners and parents about schools and other providers were collected through a sample of learners who completed questionnaires about their experience of education. This has meant that Estyn have a national picture of learners’ views about education for the first time, which is based on responses from about 16,500 primary pupils and 7,000 secondary pupils.
