Losing the language of co-operation?
20 Jun 2012David Smith and Hilda Smith of Wales Progressive Co-operators have blogged for the Bevan Foundation on how the language and terms we use when we describe co-operation varies and how we should be wary of using terms such as ‘co-operatives’, ‘mutuals’ and ‘social enterprises’ as they are not interchangeable concepts.
The article also looks at the Welsh Government’s focus upon ‘citizen centred service’ delivery, and how the multi stakeholder model is better placed to sustainably meet the needs of service users thorough engaging the service user, worker and wider community interests in service planning and delivery.
