Session 1: Introducing the Six Steps Patient and Family-Centred Care Methodology

3 August: 4.00-5.00pm
Session 2: Patient and Family-Centred Care Methodology in Practice

This summer, 1000 Lives Plus is hosting two online seminars with Dr Anthony DiGioia, a world-leading expert on delivering patient and family-centred care.

Dr DiGioia has pioneered the development of computer assisted surgical technologies and processes to promote patient-focused care. He has developed a Patient and Family-Centred Care (PFCC) model which brings together technology and process re-engineering, coupled with unique training and educational programmes. The aim is to ultimately improve every phase of healthcare delivery with the focus on the patients’ experience.

The sessions will also include input from Aneurin Bevan Health Board and their medical director, Dr Grant Robinson, who will provide examples of how frontline teams are using the PFCC principles to put patients at the centre of healthcare. The sessions are chaired by Annette Bartley, 1000 Lives Plus.
