Scrutinising scrutiny

The WCVA Voices for Change Cymru project, in partnership with Positif Politics, the Bevan Foundation, the National Assembly for Wales and the Welsh Local Government Association are hosting a conference this September.

The aim of the event is to examine the nature and effectiveness of scrutiny in different levels of government in Wales and for Wales.

The day will be looking at three strands:

• Scrutiny in Local Government, in light of the proposed Local Government (Wales) Measure;
• Scrutiny in the National Assembly for Wales, against the backdrop of the current review of the Assembly’s standing orders;
• Scrutiny at Westminster in both the Commons and the Lords.

This is a FREE event and therefore places are limited to one space per organisation.
