World Cafe
This practical course will involve participants in setting up and running a World Café. Participants will evaluate the method, exploring ways to adapt it for different audiences. The course will build on participant’s existing skills and cover the whole process from planning and delivery through to recording and evaluating data produced.

To experience a World Café and learn how to run an effective World Café from participating in the event
Learning objectives
- To demonstrate the World Café method, with participants running the event
- To discuss how the method can be adapted for different audiences
- To identify the skills needed to facilitate the event
- To explore what makes a suitable question/s for a World Café event
- To explore the resources needed to run a World Café
- To discuss how to record and evaluate the data produced during the event
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Plan and run a World Café event
- Adapt the method for their area of work to make it relevant to their purpose and audience
- Set relevant and useful questions for discussion
- Identify the facilitation skills and techniques needed
- Provide useful briefings to facilitators
- Identify resources and materials they will need to deliver the World Café
- Record and evaluate data produced during the event
